I rented some movies from the shop and life happened, one thing happened after the next and I never got to return the movie. Fortunately, I wasn’t charged a punitive late fee or anything. I kept the movies, but I didn’t have to worry about getting them back.

Work brought me into town, and I was staying locally and heard from a local guy in a bar that there was a vintage video store in town. It took a while to look it up, but I made an appointment for the next day and arranged a monthly rental for the legend of Zelda on Super Nintendo. When I defeated Ganon, I was brought to tears because I couldn’t do it in my childhood. The store is nice in how unassuming it is. I’m very grateful for the therapeutic experience.ibh.

I had met the owner in Mexico at a baseball game and was in town with my girlfriend who was hosting her friends from Singapore and we got to visit the shop. We were talking about how he heard Brendan Frasier was a good actor on set, and I thought how it was so cool how he had prepared a scene from the movie, The Scout to show us, because that was that field that we had met at.

I can never agree with my wife on what movies to watch because she wants to chill, and I want to do intensive scene studies. It was nice to be able to rent multiple movies. I dug how they had nothing but good movies across genres. We decided on Pop Star, Poltergeist, Forrest Gump, Surf Nazis Must Die, and Mork and Mindy Season 1. It was a great mix of movies and tv shows.

I was doing a visual anthropology project on vampires in film and in my research stumbled across this shop from the librarian and Bonsai Video had some classic not available for streaming vhs horror films. I was able to work out a deal where I was able to rent 9 hard to find classic vampire films to complete my research paper. My professor told me how impressed she was because most student papers were looking the same with ai and she really liked the amount of love that I was able to put into the project. Thank you Max!
